Brief / Problem
Caring Kindergartens in Northampton was a new nursery set in the grounds of an old school. The outside areas were asphalt playgrounds. The requirement was for a soft all weather play area suitable for all ages that the nursery caters for that sparks the children’s imagination when playing.
Solution
We all agreed that the area would have looked plain in just green grass so we sat down and discussed numerous ideas of what would look good and also give the children some really good play areas where they could let there imaginations go. Plans were then drawn up which incorporated a curved pathway around the area, a road inclusive of a roundabout, zebra crossing, pedestrian path and parking bays making a great play area for the bikes, scooters & trikes whilst also helping the chidden to be made aware of road safety.
